LSL Management Tip #3: Time Management

Today our new article is about : Time Management.
 
If only there were a few more hours in a day…. I think that we have all been caught saying that at least a few times in our lives, and that is why this week’s tip will be dedicated to a means of improving your time management skills.
 
Taking on more tasks than our ability allows is a problem that many have relentlessly faced throughout life. An important and key ingredient in time management is being able to delegate tasks and knowing when “ENOUGH is ENOUGH”. Some may believe that delegation is a means to avoid certain tasks, but delegating work to your subordinates is a key ingredient to efficient time management.

In order to properly delegate your work, you must first prioritize. Sit down at the beginning of every day and write a list that prioritizes your tasks at hand. Once this list is made, truthfully design a personal workload that won’t damage the integrity of your work (AVOID MULTITASKING).
 
 
All left over work should be carefully dispersed to other team members according to their ability and skill. Mastering this technique will lead to a more productive you and relieve some stress that a busy life so often causes.
